Turning off Exchange

Since today was a weekend day, I decided to turn off exchange to conserve battery power. The 3G has the option to turn off "mail" for each account. This way, I guess you don't have to delete the account. By not having mail pushed from Exchange, the battery has lasted all day with room to spare. This includes playing some apps for about 30 minutes. This was definitely proof that Exchange is part of the battery hogging that occurs on the 3G.

I found that turning off Bluetooth and Wifi also is very helpful in saving battery life. The constant searching for Wifi hotspots really takes a toll on batter life.

Hope you're having fun in HI!

I definitely concur. Leaving bluetooth off will help save battery life. However, in California, you are required to have handsfree device. If that is a bluetooth device, then it becomes a bit of a hassle because there is no easy toggle on/off for bluetooth. I also don't have the wireless constantly searching for wireless.
